Holy Shit. I don’t know if I can really impart to you the size of this PTE (permission to enroll) and what it means to me.
I started this almost exactly a year ago not knowing what I was doing at all in computer science. I motored on, feeling like I was drowning most of the time, and finished the class (and then went on to the two classes above this one). I couldn’t get credit for it (or for the other two) though, because I wasn’t enrolled full-time and wasn’t an Engineering School student. Nonetheless, I “audited” as if I was taking it and through the generosity of Professor Smallberg and my TA, Garett RIdge, I survived.
To now be taking it “for real”, for a recorded grade, and to be able to sit in the class and actually fully understand the material is amazing to me (and I hate using that over-used word).
